Gigi broke her arm!

Chance and Gigi were playing with some friends riding scooters.  Gigi was doing tricks on her scooter but fell off and broke her arm.
It was swelling and painful so we set off to the hospital.  We were the third  broken bone to check in within 10 minutes and there ended up being 5 total and all of them were children.  They checked her arm then gave her liquid morphine.  The X-ray showed a fracture and it needed to be reset.
The doctor then squirted some sort of liquid drug up her nose (I forgot the name ) and also gave her nitrous oxide. 
The resetting of the bone was clearly painful but she got through it like a champion.  All the doctors and  nurses kept complimenting her amazing composure every step of the way.
They were all super amazing and Gigi actually enjoyed the evening.
She got to ride on a hospital bed to X-ray. She pointed out that was a first. And she got to ride in a wheelchair, another first. And got her first cast.
Plus,  she got an ice block and sticker for being a super cool patient.

Once her bone was reset,  she was given a plaster cast and X-rayed again to make sure the bone was in place.  It looked great.  She will get a fiberglass cast on January 4. Hopefully,  bright pink.

Our new guinea pig,Alfalfa

Sadly, our guinea pig, Tiger,  died unexpectedly leaving behind a brother, Piggles.  Poor piggies hate to live alone so we had to buy another piggy. Alfalfa is  a very young boar and there seems to be no problem in their introduction.  In fact,  I think this is going to be better for Piggles since Alfalfa seems submissive. I think Tiger bullied Piggles on a regular basis.

While Gigi and Daddy "worked" out of town, Chance and I browsed through the mall in the Christmas madness. It was really nice to be able to walk among the madness without being a part of it. 

We saw lots of fun things.  

This is the first 60" TV we have seen in NZ and it's CHEAP!! 

They really sell Golliwogs in NZ!

My Part Burned Mansion =(

I was working on the inside of the mansion and was using fire and went down the hole to light it.I went and dug another hole and herd and saw my mansion burning!!I was stuck in the hole and tried to fly but my fly would just not go. Then I started to destroy blocks to get out and put out the fire and the fly activated.It took a minute to put out all the fire.And I went to repairing. 20 Minutes later I repaired the back of the Mansion all in a hurry! It was difficult but I finished!

Me and my cat (Goober) and my dog (Growley) standing in are hard worked on mansion.The entire thing took 40 minutes    to design 1 hour to build (while Goober and Growley watched) but I finally got it done. After I added the water fountains and trees.After I celebrated with TNT and goober was standing to close and was sent flying back into lava. he lived because of water and he was down to half a heart! I healed him and relaxed for the first time in my mansion.The pig in the background told his friend the creeper at night and the creeper came to party at my new mansion!

New Years Day

We had a lovely family day together walking through the many acres of park and paddocks on Council land.  The Groynes is an amazing park system and includes a huge dog park.  Moses had a great time running with other dogs, peeing on trees and splashing in the river.
The kids complained about having to walk but they ended up having a nice time in nature. We all got some sun and enjoyed a perfect day with ideal temperatures.  We all walked barefoot in the grass and stuck our feet into the river. We found dark caves hidden in bushes and tree patches. We saw some giant trees maybe 5 or 6 stores tall.  We found one clump of trees that would be perfect for an amazing giant tree house.
Gigi finally learned how to do a full cartwheel on her own. Chance didn't start as early as Gigi but he finally mastered the cartwheel as well. I noticed that my nearly 40 year old bones seem to clank together hard when I do cartwheels and round offs. My wrists felt like they hit the ground really hard. The joys of aging, I guess.
I am quite pleased that we began our new year together enjoying nature. It was a great start to the year.
